Long lines formed outside Swatch stores across the globe ahead of Saturday's launch of the Royal Pop, a $400–420 pocket watch collaboration with high-end Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet. At least 19 U.S. locations were affected, including the SoHo store in New York City. New York emerged as one of the worst flashpoints: at Roosevelt Field Mall on Long Island, cops appeared to break out pepper spray to push back surging crowds, while hundreds of shoppers stormed Times Square and SoHo locations, leading to at least one arrest, according to the NYPD. On April 25, 2026, in Leiyang, located in central China’s Hunan province, a video recorded a rescue beside a small river. A child had accidentally fallen into the water, and a group of adults gathered along the riverbank to help. An elderly person held out a bamboo pole and told the child to keep holding on so the child would not sink. At the same time, another man jumped directly into the water. The man, wearing a white shirt and black pants, lifted the child upward and helped bring the child closer to safety. The rescue happened at around 4 p.m. and was recorded by people nearby. The rescuer later climbed back out safely. Chinese viewers identified him as a deputy director at a local hospital.

This was the shocking moment that a group of monkeys fought fiercely by a roadside in China, before one of them was struck and pushed forward by a passing vehicle but somehow survived unharmed. On April 26, 2026, in Guangxi, China, the video captured several monkeys scrambling and fighting beside a busy road, apparently battling for dominance within the troop. As the chaotic scene unfolded near the roadside, one monkey suddenly ran into the path of an approaching vehicle. The fast-moving car hit the monkey and continued pushing it forward for several moments, leaving onlookers stunned. Despite the impact, the animal astonishingly managed to get back on its feet shortly afterward. The monkey even performed a backward flip, appearing energetic and largely unaffected by the collision. The video ended with the monkeys scattering away from the roadside after the frightening encounter.
